Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s export credit agency, and VinaCapital, one of Việt Nam’s leading investment management firms, on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance trade and investment between the two countries.
Export Development Canada (EDC) and global technology leader FPT Corporation have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under EDC’s Market Leaders Partnership programme.
Last year, Việt Nam’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by more than 5 per cent, with forecasts for this year and next, sitting at 6 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively.
Việt Nam is currently Canada''s largest trade partner in ASEAN, with bilateral trade nearing 14 billion CAD (US$10.37 billion) in 2023. It is also an important partner of Canada in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) .
